Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George in the Phanar, on Friday, November 13, 2020, on the Feast Saint Ioannis Chrysostomos, Archbishop of Constantinople.
The Ecumenical Patriarch presided over the Divine Liturgy is seated at the side-throne, known as parathronion.
According to tradition, the holy icon of Saint Ioannis Chrysostomos is placed on the patriarchal throne, and his relics are placed in front of the throne so that the faithful can pay their respects.
