On the Fourth Sunday of the Great Lent, March 29, 2020, Metropolitan Athinagoras of Belgium performed the Divine Liturgy at the chapel of the Metropolitan Mansion, the Church of Saint Marina, in the presence of two clergymen of the Holy Metropolis.
Metropolitan Athinagoras offered God the Gifts of Eucharist for the whole Metropolis, commemorating the names of the hierarchs and clergymen of the Holy Metropolis. The Metropolitan prayed to God to have mercy on the world at this difficult time.
In this way, the Holy Metropolis does not remain “inactive” at this difficult time, but will always continue to offer the Holy Communion “for the life of the world,” said the Metropolis in a statement.
