As a Lemnian, I would like to express my sorrow for the passing away of the blessed Metropolitan, who had served our country and our people with love and devotion for 31 whole years. Warmest condolences to his relatives and the people of Lemnos”, Mr. Diamataris said in a statement.
At the same time, the Deputy Foreign Minister expresses his conviction that the Church of Greece under the leadership of Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens “will choose the most suitable successor in order to further uplift the Holy Metropolis of Lemnos”.
