Following the measures announced today, Saturday, January 23, 2021, by the Oslo City Council and the Norwegian government regarding the pandemic, Archim. Alexandros Loukatos, Head and President of the Church Council of the Holy Temple “The Annunciation of the Virgin” announced that until January 31, 2021, initially, no service would be held at the Metropolitan Church that would remain closed.

The previous announcement and the January services program are canceled. There will be a newer update according to the instructions that will be given.

It is reminded that the Norwegian capital, Oslo, and nine neighboring municipalities will impose some of the toughest lockdown measures to date in the country following the COVID-19 resurgence, as reported by ANA-MPA.

Shopping malls and other non-essential stores will close at noon local time today, for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, and will not reopen until February 1, at the earliest, according to a statement issued by the Norwegian Ministry of Health.
