Metropolitan Epiphanius of the Autocephalous Church of Ukraine met the Chief Rabbi of Kiev and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich, on May 7.
The meeting took place in the office of Metropolitan Epiphanius and lasted about 40 minutes.
Metropolitan Epiphanius and the Chief Rabbi discussed the religious and socio-political situation in Ukraine, as well as various issues of common interest.
Rabbi Yaakov Dov Bleich also expressed his gratitude to Metropolitan Epiphanius for his visit to the Kiev Jewish Forum held by the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine.
On his part, Metropolitan Epiphanius thanked the Chief Rabbi for his visit and expressed the hope for cooperation and closer ties.
