The Greek Orthodox Community of Stavrodromi welcomed the New Year with the creation of an artistic desk Calendar that is dedicated to the 30 years of patriarchy of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
Twelve renowned artists, created from one work for each month of the year, while sources of inspiration were, emblematic buildings, temples and sites of the Community. The participating artists in alphabetical order are: Giannis Adamakis, Kelly Athanasiadou, Stathis Vatanidis, Theodosis Davlos, Eirini Kana, Stelios Katsimichas, Alina Matsa, Christos Palatzas, Smaragda Papoulia, Sofia Mamali – Papageorgiou, Elena Papadimitriou and Andrew Finch while the visual & journalistic editing of the Calendar 2021 is signed by Kyriakos Petalidis.
On the back of each page, there is a biographical paragraph of the creator of the work as well as his Wish for the New Year, while the texts are in Greek and Turkish. Eri Koraka is in charge of the coordination and the creative part of the publication.
All proceeds from the sales or donations will be offered to support the programs of the Creative Laboratory of the Holy Trinity.
At the same time, the foundations are being laid for the creation of a Community Gallery of Contemporary Art at the Greek Orthodox Community of Stavrodromi.
