After concluding his official visit to Chios (September 5-8) and taking a brief three-day rest, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew returned to the Phanar on September 11. Today, Thursday, he traveled to the Monastery of the Holy Trinity on Halki to preside over tomorrow’s commemorative events marking the 180th anniversary of the founding of the Holy Theological School, established in September 1844.
It is worth noting that the 180th anniversary of this historic institution was also celebrated during the inauguration of the Thessaloniki International Fair.
An official communiqué detailing the events will be released tomorrow after the ceremonies.
