His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain had a meeting at the Archdiocese with the Presidential Commissioner Fotis Fotiou, on Tuesday, September 21, accompanied by the High Commissioner, Andreas Kakouris, the Consul General Theodoros Gotsis as well as the President of the National Cyprus Federation Christos Karaolis.
The Archbishop exchanged views on the national issue with the Presidential Commissioner who briefed him on the latest developments on the issue of the missing, while thanking His Excellency for the Church’s long-term support to the Greek Cypriots of the Diaspora.
The Archbishop praised the contribution of the Republic of Cyprus in critical areas of the Greek Cypriot Diaspora, in particular in matters of Education and Greek Studies, and expressed hope for greater and more effective coordination in order to help the Greek Diaspora in the best possible way, emphasizing the promotion of the progress of the Greek Diaspora.
