Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece paid a ceremonial visit to the Court of Auditors this morning. Ioannis Sarmas, the president of the Court of Auditors, welcomed the Archbishop.
The Archbishop offered the president two books.
Ioannis Sarmas was promoted to president of the Court of Auditors on November 5, 2019, for a four-year non-renewable term of office. Prior to his appointment in 1993, he was an assistant judge of the Court of Auditors. He has since been appointed councillor in 1998 and vice president in 2010. From 2002 to 2013 he was a member of the European Court of Auditors.
