From Palm Sunday to Easter, the churches in Canada were filled with devout Christians.
Archbishop Sotirios presided over the Holy Week services in various churches in Toronto, the surrounding areas, and Montreal, including the Monasteries of St. Cosmas of Aetolia and the Virgin Mary the Consolatory, where the participation of devout Christians was impressive.
He presided over the Resurrection service and the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Toronto, assisted by Father Nikolaos Andreou and Father Triantafillos Porfyris. The cantors and the choir under the direction of Ioanna Floropoulos sang beautifully. He also celebrated the feasts of Saint George the Trophy-Bearer and Saint John the Theologian, the patron saint of our Theological Academy. Everywhere and always, he conveyed the love, wishes, and blessings of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the devout Christians.
At the Vespers service for the feast of Saint John the Theologian, he presided over the investiture as Archon Hartoularios Ioannis Poulos, a devout and highly successful Greek-Canadian.
