Archbishop Elpidophoros of America condemned that Palestinian innocents have been lost and deplored the Orthodox Church in Gaza has been bombed in a post he made on X (Twitter).
It is recalled that the Saint Porphyrios Greek Orthodox church in the Gaza, where hundreds of displaced Palestinians had fled, was hit overnight by an Israeli airstrike.
“In the wake of Hamas’s terrorist attack, violence has surged, Palestinian innocents have been lost, and now our Orthodox Church in Gaza has been bombed. This vortex of violence beckons us into an abyss of destruction. Let us unite in prayer, resisting its pull and seeking peace.”
