On a pastoral visit to Houston, Texas, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America spoke at the graduation of the Annunciation Orthodox School and then greeted its trustees.
In his speech, on the fiftieth anniversary of the Annunciation Orthodox School, the Archbishop praised the school as “an exemplary institution of the Greek Orthodox Church in America.”
The Archbishop congratulated all the graduates, their families who supported them, noting that “the true success of a human being is in your capacity for empathy, for compassion, for seeing the other person’s perspective, for hope, for faith and for love.”
The Archbishop addressed the young graduates urging them to make sure that they rise in their spiritual aspirations and to make sure that compassion and love for others rise in their hearts, too.
On Friday, Archbishop Elpidophoros visited Saint Constantine School as well as the Parish of Saint Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church Houston Texas where he was welcome by Fr. Like Paloumbis and members of the Parish Council.
On Friday, May 29, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America was welcomed to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston – Houston by Daniel Cardinal DiNardo.
