In his message, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America expresses his sorrow over the passing away of Metropolitan Panteleimon of Tyroloi and Serention.
As Elpidophoros points out, the late Metropolitan was “a model of ecclesiastical ethics for all of us younger clergy”.
The Archbishop of America also stresses his gratitude to Metropolitan Panteleimon for being a lecturer at the Holy Cross Theological School in Boston.
The announcement by Archbishop Elpidophoros reads as follows:
“I was profoundly saddened to hear that Metropolitan Panteleimon of Tyroloi and Serention passed away; I performed exequies for the resting of the soul of the late Hierarch, to whom I owe a great deal, because as a Teacher of mine at the University, he taught me not only Moral Theology, but he also served as a model of church ethics for all of us younger clergy. As the Archdiocese of America, we are especially grateful to the late Teacher for having served with dedication, love and efficacy our Holy Cross Theological School in Boston. May eternal blessing bestow upon Him”.
