On Sunday, November 3, 2019, Archbishop Leo of Helsinki and All Finland presided over the Divine Liturgy held at Cathedral of Saint Georgios in Stockholm at the invitation of Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia.
Archbishop Leo visited Stockholm as part of the celebrations of the Saints of Karelia which took place on Saturday, November 2, 2019, in the Saint Nicholas Finnish Orthodox Parish in Stockholm.
The Divine Liturgy was performed in Greek, Finnish and English.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Cleopas performed the memorial service for the repose of the late Archimandrite Eusebius Vittis, who passed away ten years ago. The late Archmoandrite was the founder of Orthodox monasticism in Scandinavia.
The Metropolitan of Sweden expressed his gratitude for the solid support of Archbishop Leo for the Holy Metropolis of Sweden and for his participation in the recent official visit of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Stockholm. The Metropolitan of Sweden gave him a copy of his study on the work carried out by the late Archbishop of America, Iakovos.
Archbishop Leo referred to the good cooperation of the two hierarchs and gave to Metropolitan Cleopas the recently published Mikro Ieratikon in Swedish.
