Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece telephoned today Archbishop Anastasios of Albania in order to assure him of the full support of the Church of Greece to the Church of Albania and its people, which was severely affected by the deadly earthquake costing the lives of dozens of people.
The Archbishop of Athens said that the “Apostoli” NGO of the Archdiocese of Athens would help the Church of Albania. The Director-General, Kostis Dimtsas, has already contacted the Archbishop of Albania assuming the coordination of aid to the earthquake victims.
