Archbishop Elpidophoros of America via a post on social media expressed his gratitude to all the doctors of Mount Sinai Hospital who took care of the Ecumenical Patriarch.
The Archbishop of America said particularly:
His All-Holiness has returned safely to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. We give thanks to God and applaud the doctors and medical personnel who cared for him.
Here is a photo of our “Greek Dream Team” of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, right after His All-Holiness successfully underwent stent placement on November 3. From left to right:
Dr. George Dangas, professor of medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Director of Cardiovascular Innovation, led the team. Dr. Stamatios Lerakis, professor of Medicine and Director of Noninvasive Cardiology for Mount Sinai Heart. Dr. John Thomas, MD, surgeon at Mount Sinai Queens (who traveled with us throughout the entire visit). Dr. Georgios Syros, Assistant professor of medicine and the Director of Arrhythmia Services at Mount Sinai.
All doctors refused any compensation. Thank you, doctors. God bless you.
