With a new three-dimensional film about Mount Athos, the visitors of the Cultural Center of Ierissos, in Halkidiki, will soon be able to move visually to this holy place and have a “taste” of it.
As the Mayor of Aristotle, George Zoumbas, stated to ANA-MPA radio station 104,9 FM, the film is expected to be ready in April and will be combined with a painting exhibition on Mount Athos, with works by the renown Greek painter Makis Varlamis.
“Our Cultural Center has one of the few three-dimensional screening halls in Greece, where short films and 3D movies are featured. We want to combine the film on Mount Athos with the exhibition of 54 works by Varlamis, which will be installed in cooperation with the Varlamis Museum in Austria,” said Mr. Zoubas, explaining that this “will enrich the visitor’s experience”.
The exhibition, as the mayor said, will be inaugurated on April 13.
