At the end of the Service, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Vasileiada”, Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne, Fr. Emmanuel Stamatiou, welcomed everyone on behalf of the CEO of the Organization and described all the stages of the journey which led to this important moment for the Archdiocese and “Vasileiada”.
This was followed by a welcome address by the Archdiocesan Commissioner of Perth, Bishop Elpidios of Cyanea, who spoke about the history of the project, the current status and future plans.
The cycle of greetings was closed by Archbishop Makarios, who stressed, among other things, that such a great project could only be realized by the grace and will of God.
Afterwards, the Archbishop of Australia, together with the Consul of Greece to Perth, Mrs Georgia Karasiotou, and the CEO of “Vasileiada”, Mrs Bethanie D’Amico, cut the ribbon of the Inauguration.
