Last evening Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Canberra presided over the first of the Bridegroom services of Holy and Great Week at the church of St George in Hobart Tasmania.
Assisting Bishop Bartholomew was newly ordained Father Anastasios Kalogerakis.
In his sermon, Bishop Bartholomew spoke about the person of St Joseph the noble. The Bishop mentioned that St Joseph was an icon of Christ who also went through trials and tribulations and like Christ he also forgave thus receiving the rewards of heaven.
Moreover, Bishop Bartholomew spoke about how St Joseph should inspire us to come closer to Christ.
In conclusion, Bishop Bartholomew conveyed to the congregation on behalf of Archbishop Makarios of Australia a blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter.
