Two Russian missiles hit a railway station in Kramatorsk in eastern Ukraine, causing casualties, the Ukrainian state railway company announced today.
The station is used to evacuate civilians from areas bombed by Russian forces.
‘Two missiles hit Kramatorsk railway station. There are victims,” Ukrainian Railways said in a statement, without giving any further details.
Three trains carrying civilians were stopped in the same area of Ukraine yesterday after an air attack on the railway line, according to the head of the railways.
Ukrainian officials say that Russian forces are regrouping for a new offensive and that Moscow is planning to occupy as many territories as possible in the eastern part of Ukraine, known as Donbas, which borders Russia.
Local authorities in some areas are calling on civilians to evacuate.
