Recently, during his visit to the Australian capital, Archbishop Makarios of Australia visited the National Museum of Canberra and toured the exhibition entitled “Ancient Greeks: Athletes, Warriors, and Heroes”.
The Archbishop was accompanied by the Bishops Iakovos of Miletoupolis, Elpidios of Kyanea, and Bartholomew of Charioupolis, as well as clergymen of the Holy Archdiocese.
The exhibition “Ancient Greeks: Athletes, Warriors, and Heroes” presents about 170 exhibits from the British Museum.
The opening of the exhibition took place on December 17, 2021, in the presence of Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis, who had performed the Sanctification service. The exhibition will end on May 1st of this year.
