“Add me to the number of those vaccinated tomorrow,” Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens said jokingly, addressing G. Georgantas, Undersecretary of Digital Policy, during a meeting the two of them had on Tuesday afternoon.
Undersecretary Georgantas commented on the record number of 117,000 vaccinated on Monday.
At this point, the Archbishop announced that on Wednesday he will be added to the number of those vaccinated, as he will receive the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
It is recalled that the Archbishop had fallen ill last fall, however, the doctors who monitored him considered that the antibodies developed by his body were not sufficient and considered it necessary to vaccinate him.
Earlier, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens received the ceremonial visit of Elder Metropolitan Emmanouel of Chalcedon.
