On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, the first meeting of the newly appointed Archieratical Vicars of the Holy Diocese of Italy took place, under the presidency of Metropolitan Polykarpos of Italy and Exarch of Southern Europe.
The Holy Metropolis was divided into 10 Archieratical Districts based in the cities of Venice, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rimini, Rome, Naples, Bari, Caltanissetta of Sicily, and Alghero of Sardinia.
During the meeting that took place in the offices of the Diocese, next to the historic and beautiful Holy Cathedral of St. George of the Greeks in Venice, the Metropolitan gave instructions on their new duties and obligations, stressed the good hopes he nurtures and the Metropolis to them for the successful fulfillment of their responsible and important work.
There was also an exchange of ideas and views and a useful constructive dialogue in an atmosphere of love, while important decisions were made.
On June 2, the National Day of the Republic, a meeting of the Holy Clergy will be held in Venice.
