During the last two days, the Archiepiscopal Vicar of Canberra, Archimandrite Prochoros Anastasiadis, visited the Greek community of Goulburn.
On Saturday afternoon, Fr. Prochoros performed the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist in the Church of Saint Panteleimon. It is worth noting that for the first time after almost twenty years the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist was performed in this church. The Archimandrite anointed with the holy oil all the faithful who came to the church to be sanctified while he wholeheartedly wished a speedy recovery to the sick and a Merry Christmas to all, conveying the paternal wishes of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
In the same church on Sunday morning, he performed the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy, and then he offered to everyone the icon of Saint Prochoros. He then had a meeting with the members of the parish council.
Finally, Fr. Prochoros visited the Monastery of the Archangel Michael and the Church of St. Anne, where he met Fr. Lavrentios, the priest of Filipino from the Coptic Church, and Sister Virginia, who grew up as an Anglican but converted to Orthodoxy 30 or 40 years ago. At the end of an interesting discussion, gifts and wishes were exchanged.
