Metropolitan Emmanuel of France made an announcement on the information he received today from the French Ministry of Interior.
French President Emmanuel Macron gave a speech yesterday on the new precautionary measures taken to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
Moreover, the Metropolitan of France said that they would be able to celebrate the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, on the 1st November, in the presence of the faithful who will be observing the coronavirus precautionary measures.
However, he added that the services that are held on Sundays and on public holidays would take place behind closed doors, with a reduced number of clergy and chanters from the 2nd of November and over a period of 4 weeks. In addition, he said that pilgrims were not allowed to visit the churches and that funerals could only be held with a maximum of twenty people. It is noteworthy that, during this period, the services will be broadcast on social media.
Finally, Metropolitan Emmanuel of France called on the faithful to strictly follow the instructions and prayed to the Lord to give everyone strength and courage.
