The Russian Orthodox Church completely reneged after the orthodoxia.info publication about the establishment of a “metochion” in Aspropyrgos under the alleged “Archbishop of Romania” Melchizedek and the absorption of brotherhoods led by Archimandrite Dionysios Kalampokas in various counties in Europe.
In a communiqué, the Archdiocese of the Russian Orthodox Churches in Western Europe, formerly known as the Patriarchal Exarchate until its disbandment by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, expressed its regret and would not continue the dialogue with the brotherhoods under Archimandrite Dionysios Kalampokas, whose status was described as a “Greek problem”.
Further to the review of the situation of the “Monastic Brotherhood” led by Archimandrite Dionysios (Kalampokas) and despite all the benevolence and compassion that we have towards these members who manifest a real desire for monastic life and spiritual commitment, we found that the church status of Archimandrite Dionysios (Kalampokas) is a Greek problem, which we are unable to resolve despite all the documents and justifications which have been provided to us.
Therefore, despite our pastoral love towards the members of this brotherhood, we regret not to continue the dialogue initiated between them and the Archdiocese of the Russian Orthodox Churches in Western Europe,” said the communiqué.
The anti-canonical actions of Archbishop John from the Russian Orthodox Church had been revealed earlier.
