Over the weekend, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew performed Trisagion Memorial Services for the repose of the souls of the Late Archons of the Mother Church, Mr. Aristeidis Panotis, Theologian Professor and writer, Alexandros Alexandris, Ambassador and Professor of History, and Mr. Christos Yannaras, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences of Athens.
Moreover, on Sunday, August 25, 2024, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew prayerfully attended the Divine Liturgy from the altar, which was presided over by Metropolitan Iakovos of Mexico.
After the Dismissal, the Ecumenical Patriarch delivered a brief homily, warmly welcoming all the pilgrims who had gathered at the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, with special recognition given to the large groups from the parishes of the Holy Archdiocese of Cyprus. He expressed his heartfelt wishes for the Virgin Mary’s protection over them and their families. Following his remarks, he distributed the antidoron to the faithful.
