The Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Maira Myrogianni, was received by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Phanar on Thursday, September 12. This visit marked her first official engagement since assuming her new duties.
During the meeting, the Secretary General conveyed the Greek State’s support for the institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and expressed respect for the Ecumenical Patriarch. She engaged in an extensive discussion with him on issues concerning the global Greek community.
Additionally, they addressed topics related to inter-religious dialogue and the pastoral work of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
