On January 27, 2024, in celebration of the translation of the Holy Relics of Saint John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated from the Parathronion the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Church.
The icon of the Saint was placed on the Patriarchal Throne, while the saint’s holy relics, which were returned a few years ago from Rome, were exhibited for worship by the faithful.
Metropolitans Isaiah of Tamasos and Oreini, Maximos of Ioannina, and Theodoros of Seleucia, Bishop Hadrian of Halicarnassus, and believers from Constantinople and pilgrims from abroad attended the service.
Yesterday, the Ecumenical Patriarch presided over the Vespers of the feast.
