The President of the “Greece 2021” Committee, Gianna Angelopoulou-Daskalaki, had a teleconference with the US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, in the context of the Committee’s briefings of the envoys of foreign countries.
Angelopoulou presented the work of the Committee, as well as its Numismatic Programme announced on Thursday (November 12). She also referred to the numerous US proposals for the anniversary and asked Pyatt to include the activities of the US embassy in the National Events Calendar.
On his part, the American ambassador referred to the US embassy’s planned actions, while both parties agreed that there was a good foundation for cooperation, due to the very good relations between the two countries, and the existence of synergies that need to be highlighted.
Both the Angelopoulou and Pyatt referred to the very active Greek community in the US, while both agreed to continue communication and exchange of ideas and programmes to better coordinate their actions.
