The Ecumenical Patriarchate announced that on the feast of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, the Thronal Feast will be celebrated at the Patriarchal Church on Wednesday, November 29, at 4.30 p.m. The Great Vespers will be officiated by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and on Thursday, November 30, the established Patriarchal and Synodal Divine Liturgy will be celebrated.
Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey will preach the Divine Word.
An official Delegation of the Church of Rome under the leadership of Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity will also attend the celebrations like every year.
After the end of the Vespers of the Feast, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will ordain Leonidas Tzonis from Athens as Archon Offikialios of the Great Church.
