At the initiative of the management of the Social Tutorial Center of the Archdiocese of Athens, state-of-the-art tablets were provided to all the pupils of the 3rd grade of High School (Lyceum) and soon pupils of the smaller classes will acquire theirs too.
In fact, as the Center’s director, Sevastianos Andreadis, pointed out, “the infrastructure of the Social Tutorial Center is of high quality and upgraded, in order to meet the requirements of the time. Some synchronous and asynchronous digital education practices are extremely effective and will be used after the pandemic too.”
The redesign is carried out through the study of the “best practice” of various universities with experience in the use of modern technologies of education and with evaluation of their students.
The Social Tutorial Center of the Archdiocese of Athens has adapted to the new data of the pandemic from the first week of the social distancing measures. The children of the 3rd grade of High School did not miss any lessons. Some technical difficulties were immediately overcome, as those students who did not have the necessary equipment for home lessons acquired it quickly.
