Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria expressed his complete satisfaction about the restroration of the holy temple of Saint Catherine in the city of Suez.
The ravages of the time had caused considerable damage to the temple, having as a result all of this construction becoming almost dilapidated.
With the help of the Greek community of Cairo, the local authorities and services were granted a permit to carry out the works.
The Orascom Construction Ltd took over the financing and implementation of the project following a personal request from the Patriarch.
The president of the Group, Mr Sawiris, responded graciously to the Patriarch’s request for he appreciates him and his intense activity.
The Patriarch, when visited the holy temple and inspected the works that have been done so far, accompanied by Metropolitan Nicodemus of Memphis, Patriarchal Commissioner of Cairo, expressed his full satisfaction.
The supervising engineer was the one who informed him of the development of the project.
