The session of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy began today in the morning.
In the morning, the Archieratic Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Synodic Chapel of the Monastery of the Holy Incorporeal Taxiarchs (Petraki Monastery), by the younger in command Metropolitan Athanasios of Sisanion and Siatista.
The Hierarchy will continue its work until Friday, October 11, where it will fill the vacant Metropolises of Fthiotida, Kalavryta and Aegialeia, and Lemnos and Agios Efstratios, as well as the vacancies of Auxiliary Bishops.
Also on Saturday, the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece will convene an extraordinary session to discuss the topic of Ukraine’s Autocephaly.
