On the day when the whole of Orthodoxy commemorates the great teacher, theologian and saint of the Church of Christ, Saint Nicholas of Myra, the Miracle Worker, on December 19, 2020, in Rmanj Monastery worshipers of that church gathered along with a dear guest Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb and Ljubljana and the host, Bishop Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac in order to liturgically celebrate the Patron Saint-day of this monastery and the Bishop.
Metropolitan Porfirije officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Bishop Sergije. Protosynchelos Venijamin (Kovacic), protopresbyter-staurophor Sasa Crljic and archdeacon Nemanja Reljic also concelebrated to them.
At the beginning of the Holy Liturgy, Metropolitan Porfirije ordained Nedeljko Batinica from Mrkonjic Grad to the rank of subdeacon.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, Bishop Sergije greeted Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb and Ljubljana and with cordial words of welcome thanked him for his great care for the sacred Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac and Rmanj and the faithful people.
Bishop Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac awarded Bogdan Reljic from Martin Brod with the Order of the Holy New Martyrs of Bihac-Petrovac for his selfless love for the Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac and his long-term support of the holy family of the Rmanj monastery.
The slava cake and wheat were blessed in the monastery’s dining room, where a festive table of love was prepared.
On the feast of St. Nicholas of Myra, the Miracle Worker, on December 19, 2020, a promotion of the new book “The Miraculous Whisper of Saint Nicholas” by Bishop Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac was held in the refectory of the Rmanj monastery.
Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb and Ljubljana, Stojan Vukajlovic, MA, and the author, Bishop Sergije, spoke at the promotion.
