“Absolute” was the identification of views between the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Church of Greece regarding the revision of the Constitution and the maintenance of the existing salary regime for the Orthodox clergy.
The above was noted at today’s meeting of the delegations of the Church of Greece, chaired by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, chaired by Metropolitan Elder Dimitrios of Prince Islands.
The meeting took place in the building of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, and was conducted in “a climate of mutual understanding, cooperation and unity,” as was distinctively stated in a communication.
