Metropolitan Nikolaos of Apollonia and Fieri, from the Orthodox Church of Albania, visited yesterday the Holy Monastery of Bigorski in North Macedonia.
He was accompanied by the elder Fr. Nikolaos from Tirana, Deacon Nikolaos and about ten orthodox believers from Fieri.
The Bishop and his companions were welcomed by the Elder and Abbot, Bishop Parthenios of Antania, and the monks present at the monastery.
After the Polychronion and the tour around the Katholikon, they welcomed the visitors in the Great Synodical Hall, where they discussed with the Elder various current issues in Orthodoxy.
Afterwards, Archimandrite Dositheos gave them a tour of the main premises of the monastery, including the Library.
In the Guestbook, Metropolitan Nikolaos wrote the following:
“May the Holy Spirit, that always enlightens man coming into the world, enlighten and strengthen the brother monks who pray and strive in this holy monastery. With blessings and love in Christ, Metropolitan Nikolaos of Apollonia and Fieri”.
