The Liturgy of the Akathist Hymn was held at St. Stephen Metropolitan Church in Paris, in a religious and festive atmosphere.
Metropolitan Emmanuel of France presided the liturgy, along with Bishop Maximus of Melitini.
At the end of the service, Metropolitan Emmanuel read verses of the Akathist Hymn and referred extensively to the connection between the Christians and Virgin Mary. He also wished the congregation a lot of strength for the rest of the Holy and Great Lent.
