On Tuesday, December 5, Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, representing Archbishop Makarios of Australia, received at the offices of the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne the Ambassador of Greece to Canberra, George Papakosta, and his wife, Goha Badalyan, accompanied by the Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, Emmanuel Kakavelakis.
During the meeting, which was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, issues concerning the Greek Diaspora were discussed and the willingness of both parties to continue their close cooperation was agreed upon.
