Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphaniy, presided over the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at the Cathedral of St. Michael in Kyiv on Wednesday
The service was co-officiated by Metropolitan Kliment of Simferopol and Crimea, Archbishop Cherniyiv and Nizin Yevstratiy, Archbishop Vyshgorod Agapit and other priests who prayed with the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
During the service, prayers were heard for the soldiers defending Ukraine, for the government and the people, and for the repose of the souls of the fallen defenders the homeland.
In addition, the Metropolitan Epiphaniy prayed for the liberation of the country from foreign invaders.
