On Sunday, October 30, Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia presided over the Divine Liturgy and preached the Divine Word at the Church of St. Alexander in Lusaka.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, he performed the official Doxology for the National Anniversary of “OXI” (NO!) Day. This was followed by a school feast, a Trisagion service, and a wreath laying at the memorial.
The event closed in the Metropolitan residence with traditional Greek dishes and treats accompanied by traditional Greek music.
