A festive Divine Liturgy was held today, Tuesday, June 11, for the celebration of the Apostles Barnaba and Bartholomew at Kolwezi.
The name of Apostle Barnaba is also the name of the Abbot of the Holy Apostles Monastery at Kolwezi, which was built 5 years ago, and is ministered by 10 young African monks.
In the morning, Metropolitan Meletios of Katanga presided the Divine Liturgy, assisted by the fathers of the Monastery.
After the end of the Holy Service, the Metropolitan wished form the altar of the Monastery to the holy Abbot a long and healthy living and to guide not only the monks but also the faithful.
