On Friday, September 22, Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain arrived in Sydney, Australia, and will participate as a representative of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in the 12th Clerical Assembly of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia (September 24-27).
For the reception and the cordial welcome of the high guest of the Holy Archdiocese, Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Bishops Iakovos of Miletoupolis, Emilianos of Meloa, Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Christodoulos of Magnesia and Evmenios of Kerasounta, and the Protosyncellus of the Holy Archdiocese, Archimandrite Christoforos Krikelis of the Ecumenical Throne.
Also present were clergy and laity, including a delegation of the Hellenic Welfare Centre, under its Director, Mr. Stylianos Magdalopoulos, members of the Christian Union, as well as other believers.
Archbishop Nikitas conveyed the Patriarchal blessings to all, while he was moved to receive a bouquet of flowers, as well as the thanks of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, for his honorary presence at the upcoming Clergy Assembly of the local Church.
