The Interreligious Council of Albania, under the presidency of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Coordination for Countering Violent Extremism” (CVE).
The main pillars of this Memorandum of Cooperation is to point out the significance of peace, as a sine qua non condition of the coherence, prosperity and social calm in Albania.
In a special ceremony at the head offices of CVE, on Friday, May 17, 2019, the president of the Coordination for Countering Violent Extremism Agron Sojati and five religious leaders signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.
In particular, the president of the Muslim community of Albania, Bujar Spahiu, the Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and All Albania, the Catholic Archbishop of Tirana and Durres George Frendo, the head of the Bektashi Edmond Brahimaj and the pastor of the Evangelical Alliance Albania, Ylli Doçi.
