Protopresbyter Alexander Trofimliuk, Rector of the Theological Academy of Kyiv, paid an official visit to the Theological School of Halki today, Thursday, May 23, 2024, accompanied by clergy and lay associates from the same Academy.
Upon their arrival, the visitors venerated at the chapel of the Holy Trinity before being welcomed at the Great Synodikon of the School by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos. In his address, Bishop Kassianos spoke about the rich history of the Theological School of Halki, its relationship with the esteemed Theological Academy of Kyiv, and the potential for future scientific and academic collaboration between the two institutions.
Following the reception, the visitors were given a tour of the old classrooms and the historic Library of the School.
