Today, Protosyncellus of Archdiocese, Bishop Symeon of Thespies visited the historic parish of St. Polycarp in Votanikos to celebrate the sacrament of the Eucharist and precide the litany of the Holy Cross. Instead of Divine Preach, there was read the Circular of the Holy Synod on hieratic calls.
Βishop Symeon emphasized that “with Archbishop’s blessings, I came here, on the day that our Holy Synod has dedicated to hieratic calls, to humbly thank the modest and blessed Fathers who serve this small but historic church”.
After the Divine Liturgy, Symeon discussed with the congregation and cherished their worries due to the upcoming mosque and the crematorium in their neighborhood.
There also attended candidate Mayor of Athens, Mr. Kostas Bakogiannis.
