Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durres and all Albania, at noon at the Maximos Mansion.
The Archbishop of Albania congratulated the Prime Minister for taking up his duties and asked for his help in addressing the problems of the Orthodox Church of Albania in order to ensure the proper functioning and implementation of its work. During the meeting, the developments in Albania were discussed.
The Prime Minister thanked the Archbishop, expressed his appreciation for him and assured him of his support for his work. At the same time, he expressed his sympathy for the achievement of the Archbishop’s goals for the benefit of all the inhabitants of the neighbouring country.
The Prime Minister and the Archbishop of Albania agreed to maintain close contact with each other.
