On Sunday, November 12, 2023, the celebration of the Great Archangels took place at the Cathedral of the Diocese of Maputo.
Following the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, the artoklasia and a memorial service took place for the benefactors and founders of the Temple and the “Athinai”. Also, the faithful prayed for peace to prevail in the world and to reign in our hearts. The procession of the icon of the Holy Archangel took place in the presence of the Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Acasio Beleza and many believers.
Metropolitan John of Zambia referred in his homily to the locum tenens of the Holy Diocese of Mozambique and to the history of the Church of the Archangels.
