The members of the Megalo Revma Community were found worthy to honour the great ascetic of the desert, Saint Onuphrius, at the only sacred spring dedicated to him in the whole city, located in the Megalo Revma district.
On Monday afternoon, 12 June 2023, The Grand Catechist, Archimandrite Chrysanthos, conducted the Holy Supplication Service to Saint Onuphrius, which was officiated by Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, who also blessed the five-loaves (artoklasia) and spoke about the miraculous life and timeless messages of the unknown to many, Saint Onuphrius.
At the end of the service, with the care of the Philoptochos Association of the Community, a reception was held in the green garden of the Sanctified Spring and all those present together glorified God, who made them worthy again this year to seek the grace of Saint Onuphrius and ask for his blessing.
