On February 4, 2024, Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia presided over Divine Liturgy in Church of Saint Sava.
The service was concelebrated by Vicar Bishops Ilarion of Novobrd and Petar of Toplic, Archpriests-stavrophorians Dušan Raković and Radivoj Panić, Archpriests Đorđe Stojisavljević and Ivan Šovljanski, Priests Dalibor Stojadinović and Branislav Klicković, as well as Protodeacon Radomir Vrućinić and Deacon Siniša Duvnjak.
The liturgical sermon following the reading of the Gospel was delivered by Bishop Peter of Toplički. He emphasized the significance of faith in the lives of Christians, stating:
“The Lord liberates us and says: Believe! If you lose your life for the sake of love, do not be afraid! With the Lord, we are never at a loss. He is the one who has overcome the world, freeing us to love without fear. Whenever fear hinders our capacity to love, it is the moment for our faith to rise, to act with trust as genuine disciples of the Lord.”
